She said I don’t know. I told her that the kids told me her son, their cousin hurt my daughter. We no longer speak. It’s my husband’s side of the family, and because he took his daughter’s side, they don’t talk to him either. My children miss their cousin, and my husband and I miss our nephews, but we do not regret defending our child. To add to the damage at my daughter’s before-school doctor visit, I was asked what had happened to her back because it had scarred up pretty bad. I told them what had happened, and thank God she was five and could talk. Her doctor did not call DCF but was ready to make the call. Do you think my sister-in-law cared that we almost got in trouble with child protective services? Ignore him. Stay strong and confident.
